We are just days away from the official start of the Fall 2012 season and we have all kinds of information to share with you about our upcoming season and events. There are games to be played and names to be made, so grab the family calendar and let's get down to business! 

Uniform Pick Up - Wednesday, September 5^th   6:30pm -9pm

If you have not yet purchased the required uniform you can do so at this time. The uniform cost is $45, cash or check only if purchasing onsite. If you will not be able to come and pick up your uniform(s) this Wednesday please contact your child's coach to make other arrangements.

* Any outstanding registration/uniform dues will be collected at the uniform pick up event.

With the help of iSoccer, the Nation's premier online skills assessment tool, they have developed these fun and exciting challenges to allow youth players to show off, compete and improve their skills and get them on track to becoming a better soccer athlete!

Registered participants will receive a complimentary 2-month premium plus membership to iSoccer and the first 50 participants onsite will receive a Ford Escape Soccer Skills Challenge T-Shirt. Six Winners ages 8-13 (one from each gender/age group division) will be invited to attend the Regional Finals in Fall 2012.

*** Please arrive at the Complex a little before 10am next Saturday (9/8/2012) so we can get the kids checked in. Kids should wear shin guards and cleats (if they have them).

What to expect…

Parents or an adult, when you come to the complex please be ready to help with your child with the activities. A typical session lasts about 30 to 40 minutes and consists of each player with a ball and fun activities (parents and their kids). There will be not be a "game" but there will be time at the end of the session for "Fun Time" where the kids can run around and shoot on the big and small goals, play around the cones, and interact with their TOT-mates. Basically, we need to let them experiment more with the ball and their body movements on their own with a little interaction from their parents and/or Fun Leader(s).

Players cannot wear any jewelry at all while participating (includes earrings, necklaces, bracelets (except medical bracelets, etc.); this is an insurance rule.

Show your support of our travel soccer club, EXPRESS FC, and join us at this exciting soccer tournament in St. Clair Shores MI. We have 4 teams representing our organization and they are already working hard to make us proud at this weekend long event. Please come out to cheer them on and see if the next step in youth soccer may be right for your players and families. MHYSA SKILLS CAMP - 3 sessions (8/15, 8/22, 8/29)
Help your child prepare for the upcoming season - and a very special Open House experience - with sessions focused on teaching and improving skills at all division levels.
Bring a friend, bring many friends! Our camp is open to all, ages 4-17, who would like to participate in fun and educational activities led by licensed coaches and experienced players eager to encourage and develop well-rounded, skilled players.

IMPORTANT: All Coaches Must Register
ALL COACHES & CLUB VOLUNTEERS have to have a RISK MANAGEMENT check done on them. If yours has expired or you don't have one please contact Dan Milz, president@mhysa.net , ASAP and he will help you get one. ALL COACHES have to register through the new GotSoccer system. This is how the state association checks your Risk Management status. So, even if your Risk Management card is still valid you still have to register through GotSoccer. NO EXCEPTIONS!

With fall registration in full swing and plans for the upcoming season underway, it seems like a good time to get out a few reminders and provide some updates about what's been happening around the Red Oaks Soccer Complex lately. So, here goes...

CHALLENGER  SPORTS - British Soccer Camp:

There are still openings for the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp taking place next week at the Red Oaks Soccer Complex. Each day includes skills training, tactical practices, coached scrimmages, and a daily tournament. Don't miss this opportunity! 2012  FALL  REGISTRATION  IS  OPEN

Register today to avoid late fees! Really - today is the last dayto sign up before the $15 per player late fee takes effect on July 15^th.

Online registration will remain open until August 1^st 2012. This is an important date to keep in mind. Please keep in mind that the deadline is set to allow adequate time for the club to organize teams, plan schedules and prepare for another fun filled season to begin. Requests for registration after August 1^st may or may not be accommodated… don't take the chance and get registered now.

Last month the Board of Directors conducted the Annual General Meeting at which time elections were held for the following elective offices: President, Secretary, Registrar, Fundraising Coordinator and Recreational Division Managers. In addition to changes as a result of the elections, resignations and new appointments have assembled the current Board of Directors as follows:
